Care of cartridges incorporating print heads.
1. Do not allow the cartridge to sit outside the printer for long periods of time, as the ink inside the nozzles will dry causing an obstruction to the ink flow. Using the cartridge with dried ink in the nozzles can damage the nozzles and render the cartridge inoperable. If storage is inevitable, place the cartridge in an air-tight zip-lock plastic bag.
2. Refill the cartridge in a "wet" condition, that is, before the cartridge is completely out of ink.
3. If the cartridge does not print properly after refilling, and the printer head cleaning routine has been run 2 or 3 times, refer to the procedure outlined below for cleaning dried ink from the nozzles.
4. To clean dried ink from the cartridge nozzles, follow the following procedure:
a. Fill a glass or dish with warm water up to 1/4 inch deep.
b. Soak the nozzles in the warm water for 10 to 15 minutes. If the cartridge has been standing for a long time, this process may require an hour or overnight soaking.
c. Dry the cartridge and the nozzles with a soft tissue or cotton swab.
d. Refill the cartridge and install it in the printer.
5. After the cartridge has been cleaned, ensure that the nozzle is completely dry before installing in the printer.

Troubleshooting
1. Printer does not print after ink refill:
a. Inject air using the supplied syringe through the top air vent to prime and clean the nozzles. A small amount of ink should come out. If ink does not come out, then perform step (1b).
b. Fill a dish with warm water to about 1/4" and soak the nozzles for about 1 hour. Prime and clean the nozzles using the procedure outlined in step (1a). Clean any foreign matter from the nozzles using a soft tissue.
c. Reinstall the cartridge and try to print again.
2. White streaks in the print out:
a. Place the cartridge nozzle down on a soft tissue and allow a small amount of ink to come out. Wait 2 minutes and wipe away any foreign material on the nozzles. Reinstall the cartridge in the printer.
3. Ink continuously flows from the nozzle:
a. Check to ensure the green rubber stopper is completely seated in the refill hole.
b. If ink still flows from the nozzle, this is an indication that the bag inside the cartridge has been damaged. The cartridge may still be used temporarily by covering the air vent at the top with scotch tape. It is advisable to purchase a new cartridge at this point.
4. Poor print quality:
a. Clean ink and foreign matter from the nozzle using a soft tissue. Reinstall and compare the printout before and after this cleaning.

Should I Print With My Old Cartridge Until it's Dry?
NO! An inkjet printer works by heating a very small amount of ink, which is the jetted onto the paper. The ink cools the resistors used to heat the ink. If there is no ink, the resistors overheat and are subject to burnout. This shortens the life of the print head, so at your first sign of running out of ink, such as broken lines or color changes, stop printing and either refill your cartridge or change to one you've already refilled.
Try to not let the cartridge dry out when pulling out of the printer. Store it in an air tight container such as a zip lock bag. If left exposed to the air, it will tend to dry out and make refilling more difficult. Of course you've noticed all new cartridges come sealed in an air tight package.

Is it Easy to Refill?
Most adults, all teenagers, and nearly all children are able to refill easily. Reading ability is required. But seriously, our simple, step by step, fully illustrated instructions guide the user through the process quickly. Keep in mind, however, you're dealing with INK, so take some simple precautions to prevent an accident from becoming a disaster.

What if I Have A Problem?
Our kit returns are extremely rare and we have not had a kit returned as a result of a kit not working. A considerable amount of time, effort and money has been devoted to developing the absolute best refill methods and testing them for each and every printer. We won't offer a kit that does not have the "bugs" worked out ..100% guaranteed.
RHN Technology feels that there is very little chance that any problems will arise; but, if they should, technical assistance is always available to our valued customers

How Many Times Can I Refill My Cartridge Before it Wears Out?
Realistically, we don't know, only time will tell. maybe, under ideal conditions 20 times or more. There will come a time when you will notice the quality of the print deteriorating. This is usually evidenced by the printer streaking or incomplete ink coverage even after you have done the head cleaning procedures as instructed with your type of printer. Those of you that have print heads separate from the cartridges may find that the cartridges are still working fine, while the print head needs replaced.
Once you have used your cartridge to the fullest, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you've done your part for the ecology and saved a considerable amount of money, not to mention the time that you save by not needing to run to the store every time you need to finish a printing project and find yourself running out of ink.

Are All of Your Products Guaranteed?
YES! RHN Technology guarantees all of our products. If your inkjet refill kit, (or whatever you buy from us) doesn't work as we stated it would after carefully following directions, return it immediately, and we will refund your purchase amount or credit you toward another purchase. Our goal is to supply you with the best possible products and help you save $$$$ on your printing costs. We do not make any guarantees or warrantees regarding your printer. There is no reason why our kits would ever cause any damage to your printer.

Will Your Ink Void My Warranty?
The manufacturers and sales outlets are doing their best to discourage refilling. The replacement cartridge business is HUGE and very profitable for them. Despite all their various claims, I don't know of one single case where the manufacture voided a warranty due to refilling, Besides, as a practical matter, how would they ever know if you didn't tell them?
Bottom line is simply this. We have an excellent product at a very reasonable price which WILL save you a lot of money and inconvenience. We stand behind our refill kits and inks with our full refund price guarantee. If you're not satisfied, send the kit back to us (in good condition) and unused ink back to us at your expense and we'll send your check the day we receive the return. The most you have to lose is a little of your time..we're out the same.
